Celebrating Disney Animation Studios’ Sequel with a Sky-High Statement
Canadian flag-carrier Air Canada today revealed a brand-new aircraft livery to celebrate the upcoming release of Zootopia 2 (in theatres 26 Nov 2025). The special design is wrapped on one of its Airbus A220-300s (registration C-FHMO, or Fin 138), and will be flying across North America in the coming weeks.
“This special livery is an exciting addition to our broader Disney relationship. It reminds us that travel, like storytelling, is about imagination, connection, and a little bit of magic,” said Andy Shibata, Vice President, Brand at Air Canada.

Livery & Route Details
The aircraft features characters from “Zootopia 2” including Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, and is dubbed Fin 138.
Destinations the special-livery A220 will serve include: Montreal (YUL), Toronto (YYZ), Ottawa (YOW), Vancouver (YVR), Los Angeles (LAX), New York LaGuardia (LGA), Denver (DEN) and Boston (BOS).
This is Air Canada’s third Disney-themed livery: previously the airline featured characters from Disney’s Wish (Nov 2023) and Pixar’s Turning Red (Feb 2022) on other aircraft.
Strategic & Brand Significance
The collaboration between Air Canada and Walt Disney Animation Studios further reinforces the airline’s positioning as a family-friendly travel brand and taps into the emotional power of storytelling and entertainment.
Such special liveries serve as mobile marketing assets: the aircraft itself becomes a flying billboard, generating social-media buzz, photo-ops at airports and brand visibility across routes.
For Air Canada, the timing is beneficial: the roll-out echos an anticipated uptick in travel volume during the upcoming holiday season, and the livery helps the carrier stand out in competitive markets, especially on North-America–Canada/US routes.
From a cultural perspective, the tie-in with a major entertainment release highlights how airlines are leveraging cross-industry partnerships to drive brand engagement beyond just travel-service messaging.
